"The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" es el título del quinto álbum de David Bowie, aunque comercialmente se decidió acortar el título por "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust". Listado de canciones del álbum The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust

[X]letra de Five Years
Pushing thru the market
Square
So many mothers sighing
News had just come over,
We had five years left to cry in
News guy wept and told us
Earth was really dying
Cried so much his face was wet
Then I knew he was not lying
I heard telephones, opera house, favourite melodies
I saw boys, toys electric irons and T. V. 's
My brain hurt like a warehouse
It had no room to spare
I had to cram so many things
To store everything in there
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people
And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people
I never thought I'd need so many people
A girl my age went off her head
Hit some tiny children
If the black hadn't a-pulled her off, I think she would have killed them
A soldier with a broken arm, fixed his stare to the wheel of a Cadillac
A cop knelt and kissed the feet of a priest
And a queer threw up at the sight of that
I think I saw you in an ice-cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
Don't think you knew you were in this song
And it was cold and it rained so I felt like an actor
And I thought of Ma and I wanted to get back there
Your face, your race, the way that you talk
I kiss you, you're beautiful, I want you to walk
We've got five years, stuck on my eyes
We've got five years, what a surprise
We've got five years, my brain hurts a lot
We've got five years, that's all we've got - Soul Love
- Moonage Daydream
- Starman
- It Ain't Easy
- Lady StardustVer letra
[X]letra de Lady Stardust
People stared at the makeup on his face
Laughed at his long black hair, his animal grace
The boy in the bright blue jeans
Jumped up on the stage
And lady stardust sang his songs
Of darkness and disgrace
[Chorus:]
And he was alright, the band was altogether
Yes he was alright, the song went on forever
And he was awful nice
Really quite out of sight
([second time:] really quite paradise)
And he sang all night long
Femme fatales emerged from shadows
To watch this creature fair
Boys stood upon their chairs
To make their point of view
I smiled sadly for a love I could not obey
Lady Stardust sang his songs
Of darkness and dismay
[Chorus:]
Oh how I sighed
When they asked if I knew his name
[Chorus:]
Get some pussy now! - Star
- Hang On To YourselfVer letra
[X]letra de Hang On To Yourself
Well she's a tongue twisting storm, she will come to the
Show tonight
Praying to the light machine
She wants my honey not my money she's a funky-thigh
Collector
Layin' on 'lectric dreams
[Chorus:]
So come on, come on
We've really got a good thing going
Well come on, well come on
If you think we're gonna make it
You better hang on to yourself
We can't dance, we don't talk much
We just ball and play
But then we move like tigers on vaseline
Well the bitter comes out better on a stolen guitar
You're the blessed, we're the Spiders from Mars
[Chorus (x3)]
Come on, ah, come on, ah [repeat ad inf.] - Ziggy Stardust
- Suffragette City
- Rock 'N' Roll Suicide
