En 2014 aparece un nuevo álbum de Shakira, cuyo título homónimo da a entender que se trata de un trabajo muy personal de la artista de Barranquilla.
Tras tres años de trabajo y cambiar de discográfica, además de dar a luz a su primer hijo, finalmente el álbum es presentado, con una mezcla de estilos, entre los que destacan el rock y el dance.
El primer sencillo del álbum "Shakira" es el titulado Can´t Remember To Forget You, cantado a dúo con Rihanna y cuyo video batió todos los records de visitas en youtube.
