"Dua Lipa" es el título del primer álbum en la discografía de Dua Lipa. Lanzado al mercado el 2 de junio de 2017 bajo el sello Warner, contó con doce temas escritos por Dua Lipa con la aportación de diversos compositores, La producción corrió a cargo de una gran variedad de profesionales, el más activo de ellos el canadiense Kozmeniuk. Una versión extendida se publicó con tres temas más, titulada "Edición completa".

Tras regresar a Londres procedente de Kosovo con tan solo quince años, la futura cantante comenzó a estudiar y trabajar en diferentes empleos. Fruto de todas aquellas vivencias, Dua Lipa adquirió amplias experiencias vitales que la ayudaron a componer los temas que forman parte de este su primer álbum, un trabajo definido por la propia artista como un "pop oscuro".

Prevista para ser lanzado el 30 de septiembre de 2016, finalmente la publicación se retrasó hasta el 10 de febrero del año siguiente. Un nuevo retraso ocasionado por la intención de la cantante de añadir sus últimas creaciones, propició que finalmente apareciera en el mercado en junio de 2017.

El primer sencillo del álbum, "Be the One", apareció el 30 de octubre de 2015. Fue escrito por Lucy Taylor, Digital Farm Animals y Jack Tarrant, y producido por la firma Digital Farm Animals. El vídeo, grabado por la fotógrafa y realizadora Nicole Nodland en el barrio del Soho, en Londres, apareció a finales de octubre de 2015. Un segundo vídeo de este tema fue grabado por el realizador estadounidense Daniel Kaufman, con la colaboración del actor Ansel Elgort.

"Last Dance", el segundo sencillo, se lanzó el 9 de febrero de 2016. La canción, compuesta por Dua Lipa, Stephen "Koz" Kozmeniuk y Talay riley, contó con la producción del propio Kozmeniuk. El vídeo fue dirigido por Jon Brewer e Ian Blair y grabado en las selvas tropicales existentes en el estado de California y en él se puede ver a Dua Lipa corriendo por la selva.

"Hotter than Hell" (Más caliente que el infierno) se lanzó el 6 de mayo de 2016. Compuesta por Dua Lipa, Adam Midgley, Tommy Baxter y Gerard O'Connell fue producida por Kozmeniuk, Jay reynolds y Tom Neville. El tema trata sobre un amor tormentoso que estuvo a punto de hacer descarrilar la vida de Lipa.

El cuarto sencillo, "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)", fue lanzado el 26 de agosto de 2016, con composición de Dua Lipa, Jon levine y Lauren christy y con la producción de Jon levine. Fue el primer tema de Dua Lipa en entrar en la lista Billboard Hot 100 y alcanzó el primer puesto en la lista Billboard Dance Club. En el vídeo dirigido por el realizador polaco Kinga Burza, podemos ver a Lipa siendo aclamada para ser presidenta por un grupo de mujeres.

"New Rules" fue el sexto corte del álbum debut de Dua Lipa. Escrita y producida por Ian Kirkpatrick, con la colaboración de Caroline Ailin y Emily Warren. Las letras tratan de las reglas para superar la ruptura con un novio. Alcanzó el primer puesto en las listas británicas y el sexto en las listas norteamericanas. El vídeo fue realizado por el director Henry Scholfield y se muestra a la cantante encerrada en una habitación de hotel con unos amigos que la impiden regresar con su ex novio.

"IDGAF" (iniciales de I Don't Give a Fuck, algo así como No me importa una mierda) fue lanzado el 12 de enero de 2018, alcanzando el tercer puesto en las listas británicas. El vídeo, que trata sobre el empoderamiento femenino, recibió una nominación a la Mejor coreografía en los MTV Video Music Awards 2018.
